Following in the steps of the Tungsten T, the T2 adds additional memory to the device. While some processor speed is lost, some of the price is also lost. The slide cover reveals and hides the graffiti pad, which isn't always needed by all users. The device has basic specifications, but the slide cover has a cool factor that many users may find useful.
