E-Ten X500+ Rumored Friday 04.20.2007 at 12:22 AM E-Ten could be working on an updated version of the X500, the X500+. The device is expected to have a higher resolution screen (VGA instead of QVGA) as well as Windows Mobile 6 Professional. No release date has been announced.
T-Mobile "Wing" Expected Release Date Thursday 04.19.2007 at 04:19 PM Rumors are abound about the new T-Mobile "Wing." It is unclear if it will be called the "Wing" but the Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional device is expected to be $250 with a two-year contract. Rumor has it the launch will be May 27th.
HTC Readying P4000 and Dopod C730 Tuesday 04.17.2007 at 04:02 PM HTC appears to be readying a couple device. The HTC P4000 (HTC Titan) has appeared for CDMA carrier Telus. The device includes Windows Mobile 5.0, 256 MB RAM, 128 MB ROM, Bluetooth, and more. Expected price tag is $200 with contract. Also, HTC is said to be readying the HTC Cavalier as the Dopod C730. The Smartphone is the new version of the T-Mobile Dash, and features a 400 MHz processor, 128 MB ROM, 3G, HSDPA, and more. No word on price.
Dell Could Return To PDA Market Via Quanta Tuesday 04.17.2007 at 02:31 PM Dell announced their departure from the PDA market a little while back, but of course there are still rumors that Dell will renter, possibly via the Smartphone market. DigitTimes is reporting that Quanta Computer is working on a Smartphone for Dell which would launch at the end of the year. Rumor has it the device is code named "Fly" and will run Windows Mobile 6 Processional, include HSDPA, and will feature a QWERTY keyboard.
T-Mobile MDA Replacement Expected Monday 04.09.2007 at 08:34 PM Where did the MDA go from the T-Mobile website? It is rumored that the MDA was pulled for a replacement device, the HTC Atlas, which is expected to be coming in August. The Atlas is in a similar form factor to the MDA but includes a different styled keyboard, additional front face buttons, and Windows Mobile 6.
Rumor of HTC Products For the Coming Year Sunday 03.18.2007 at 01:00 PM DigitTimes is reporting a roadmap to some future HTC products. the::unwired expanded the story a little more to note a couple things. HTC plans to over the S420 (Erato), P4550 (Kaiser), P3450 (Elf), P6500 (Sirius), P5500 (Nike), and S740 (Wings) in the coming year. The S420 (Erato) is expected in April with a 400 MHz processor, WM6 Standard, and HSDPA support. The P4550 (Kaiser) is a WM6 Professional device, again with a 400 MHz processor as well as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and HSPDA. See all the details on all the devices at the below link.
Rumored Palm to Offer WiMAX Device Sunday 03.11.2007 at 03:36 PM It is expected later this year, Sprint will start turning on its WiMAX high-speed wireless network. With that, it is rumored that Palm will offer an ultra thin WiMAX handle device. Other than that, there are not other details on such a device and Palm has not made an announcement.
AT&T SMT5700 Approved by the FCC Sunday 03.11.2007 at 06:24 AM It appears AT&T (the new Cingular) will be offering a new BlackBerry style Windows Mobile device. The AT&T SMT5700 is a device of similar style to the BlackJack offered by Cingular. It offers Windows Mobile 5.0, microSD, and has EDGE support. The QWERTY keyboard has a similar style to the BlackJack. AT&T has not announced a release date or price.
HTC Gene Shows Its Face at the FCC Thursday 02.22.2007 at 04:38 PM Could they be calling it the "Gene" because it looks like something out of Star Trek? The HTC Gene (GENE100) has made its appearance on the FCC's website. The device doesn't look very tall and looks almost to have a square screen (though it says it is QVGA). The device includes Bluetooth, 128 MB ROM, 64 MB RAM, and a 200 MHz processor.

BenQ and Siemens Working on new Smartphone Monday 02.12.2007 at 10:21 AM BenQ and Siemens are planning to release a Windows Mobile Smartphone device. While it is unclear what the specifications of the device are, it is a rounded candy bar style phone with a unique red stripe across the front and side. Motorola Q Edge and Q2 Rumors Monday 01.29.2007 at 02:02 PM Brighthand reports on rumors of two new Motorola Q's. We have heard some about these, but Brighthand has an overview of the details. The Motorola Q Edge is expected for GSM carries with EDGE support. It is expected the device will be the same as the original Motorola Q except for the different radio. We recently heard about the Motorola Q2. O2 XDA Flame Price Expected at over $1000 Tuesday 01.23.2007 at 05:01 AM Rumored pricing has come out for the O2 XDA Flame. Anything Online is reporting a price tag of $1100 for the device, pricing it at the level of the HTC Universal when it was released. The device does include a strong amount of features including 2 GB ROM, an NVIDIA GoForce graphics chip, and TV-out support. It is expected the Flame won't see the US's shores for the time being.
Samsung i760 Expected to be Coming to Verizon Tuesday 01.23.2007 at 01:12 AM Samsung has been showing off the i760, a Pocket PC Phone Edition device. The device has a unique style with numeric pad, directional pad, and QWERTY keyboard. Supposedly, the device will be thin even with a slide-out keyboard. It is rumored the device will run a new version of Windows Mobile. The Verizon logo appears on the device. In the past, Verizon has carried many Samsung Pocket PC Phone Edition devices.
HTC Omni Rumored As Another HTC Universal Tuesday 01.09.2007 at 11:57 AM Solopalamari has rumors of the HTC Omni, a device similar to the Universal though rumors both have it coming and being canceled at the same time. The device is said to include a 400 MHz Samsung processor, 128 MB of RAM, 256 MB ROM, 4 inch screen, QWERTY keyboard, WiFi (including 802.11g) and Bluetooth. Solopalamari has a burly picture of what is said to be the device, which appears to have a face like the i-mate PDA2k and style like the HTC Universal.
HTC Kaiser, Elf, Panda, and Wings for 2007 Friday 12.29.2006 at 09:30 AM Ready to get excited about some new device from HTC for 2007? "Kaiser" is expected to be a Pocket PC Phone Edition device similar to the Hermes including a slide out keyboard and adding GPS. "Elf" is more in Pocket PC style but still includes phon functionality. "Elf" and its sister "Panda" don't inlcude 3G radios but "Panda" does include a 3 inch screen. "Elf" also uses a touchpad instead of d-pad, a feature we previously saw on the HP iPAQ. "Wings" follows up the Vox (yes, the Vox hasn't been released and this is already rumored as the follow-up) including 3G, GPS, and a more powerful processor. Finally, not to be left out, HTC will follow up the Star Trek with a new flip phone. Of course these are all rumors at this point.
